I’ve had a number of people ask me what my favorite books are or who my favorite authors are, so I figured it was due time to post this on my blog.

Though I certainly don’t agree with each of them in a number of areas, some of my favorite authors are Clark Pinnock, Karl Barth, and Jürgen Moltmann.

Since I most love systematic theology, my favorite books are, of course, systematic theology books. And most of them fit within my primary areas of research.

Barth’s major multi-volume work, Church Dogmatics, is quite lengthy. However his short one-volume version is a great entry to his work:

Other systematic theologies I much appreciate include:

GrenzGrenz, Stanley, Theology for the Community of God. Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2000. (Canadian Baptist, Arminian)

 

 

MiglioreMigliore, Daniel L. Faith Seeking Understanding: An Introduction to Christian Theology. 2nd ed. Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2004. (Presbyterian, Reformed)
