My second published book arrived today:

Johannine Writings and Apocalyptic: An Annotated Bibliography, co-authored with Stanley Porter, Johannine Studies 1 (Leiden: Brill, 2013).

It’s so expensive that I don’t expect you to buy it (see here!), but you can view much of the contents on googlebooks here.

At one point I wasn’t very excited about publishing an annotated bibliography (woo hoo!), but when I was proofreading it this past summer I realized that it really is quite a helpful resource. Between reading the introduction to the whole book, the introduction to each topic, and the annotations for each entry, a person can get an excellent overview of the key issues in studying the Johannine writings and the key debates in Johannine scholarship. And, of course, as a bibliography it is an excellent resource for those doing research.

The book covers the Gospel of John, the John 1-3, Revelation, and apocalyptic studies related to studying Revelation.
