great20faithThe Bible has very little to say about varying degrees of faith. Jesus didn’t seem to be as concerned about the amount of faith a person has as many people are today. He simply says have faith (John 11:25-27). Sure there are a couple of times that Jesus scolds the disciples for having ‘little faith’ but he still works despite it. Further, the Bible never claims you have to have a certain amount of faith before God will respond to you. We can not coax God with our faith, as though it makes us worthy. We clearly do need to have faith, but God is gracious to us regardless of how much faith we have. I seem to remember Jesus saying something about having faith as small as a mustard seed.
